About Us

ShoBag is the brain child of Mutsuko Blake back in 1997. She was designing personal gifts for the 14 female members of her family – sisters, nieces, daughters, and her precious granddaughter.

With her many years of handicrafts, professional sewing experience, and intuitive creativity, Mutsuko began with old denim jeans and created a unique style of handbag. She now creates handbags, wallets, purses, shoulder bags, and much more!

Mitsukoshi Department Store, Naha, Okinawa, Japan carried them, where, within a matter of a few months, replicas - the best compliment one can be paid – began popping up throughout the island.

She has now created many designs and is busily keeping up with orders and special requests.

Each ShoBag item is unique because it is handmade – there are no duplicates – EVER.
